Gnomes with high Intelligence scores can choose from the following: Draconic, Dwarven, Elven, Giant, Goblin, and Orc.

Gnomes are the favored race of Ayanar and can be found almost anywhere. This is in part because they are so personable and likable when they want to be that its hard to keep them out, but it is also in part because they are so damned clever and inventive. They along with the dwarves and elves were the three big pioneers, but unlike the elves delving into spontaneous casting from the soul, the dwarves with their studied wizardry and rune covered magical arms and armor, the gnome were fascinated by alchemy and the crafting of the wondrous and possibly impractical, or unintentionally practical. The only other race that comes close to matching them in this department are the kobolds and they aren’t quite so clever, and things tend to blow up in their faces just a bit more. This isn’t true of all gnomes. There are gnomes of all professions and with a nearly infinite number of interests, but a significant portion of the gnomish population tends towards the eccentric (possibly “mad”) alchemist stereotype.
